Tattoo ideas for symbols of strength?
I am getting a tattoo on the back of my neck in memory of a good friend from high school that was killed a few years ago. He’s been my angel of strength the last few years and that what I want to depict in my tattoo, but I dont want to do the traditional chinese symbols. Any ideas? I’m also thinking of putting angel wings around it, but I’ve heard that doesn’t usually turn out very good. IDEAS?!!

you shouldn’t get a logo from some random person online. like me or anyone else. i know you are looking for ideas, but do you really want something permanent on you that you got from some random person you dont even know? if it is for your friend, i would try to remember things your friend liked and try to make your own symbol. so much more personal. if you arent that artistic, at least find someone that you know that is and see if they can help you.

Eyes in the back of your neck with the wings to the side of them. It will symbolize you being watched by your guardian.

get something that means a lot to you. for me, when i miscarried, i got a pink and purple hibiscus flower on my right shoulder blade. the hibiscus is my favorite flower and every time i see it, it gives me the strenght to move on with my life but yet never forget the child that i could have had. try getting something that meant something between the two of you. it will help you move one with live every time you see it. good luck!

just a suggestion y not a Samoan tat you could probably look it up on goggle sorry i couldnt fined the website but google in samoan tattoos and you should fined something!

I absolutely agree with karen.
It should be between you and your friend, something you know makes you feel stronger. Any stranger that sees it doesn’t have to say "oh, hey, that tattoo means ’strength’" It should be more personal than that.
And about the chinese letters… yeah, don’t do that. I have a chinese friend who said he saw someone once with the word "english" tattooed on him. But the guy thought it meant "courage." Embarassing.

My tat is of a humongous STAR with a fluttery ribbon reaching all the way around and winding …..and holding other Stars… that SHINE and strengthen the main man! LOL
