Describe the pain of getting a tattoo. How much does it hurt? And what is the least painful place to get one.?
I’m quite a weakling when it comes to pain. I have no idea what I would get. But some sort of pattern thing like Ronnie Radke’s neck tattoo…just..not on the neck lol…(also want a few small tats)
I had my first tattoo a few months ago and it’s pretty big. It’s on my back. It all depends a lot actually, on how developed are your muscles. For example, the right side of my back where the tattoo spreads to, did not hurt as much as the left side because I’m right handed and all the heavy lifting I do is focused on my right side of the body. At some points it actually feels pretty good if you don’t focus on whats happening i.e needle going through your skin. Have a conversation with your tattoo artist while doing it, it helps and just do it. The more you think about it the more hyped up and scared you’re going to get and realize once you do it that it wasn’t a big deal after all. I used to think like you and was scared to get one because how much it might hurt. It really didn’t at all, afterwards it does burn like you have a sun burn for a few days.
GOOD LUCK!

I have never gotten one, however my friend went and got like the smallest little butterfly on her ankle and she said it was awful. She cried the entire time! My advice…don’t do it. I advised her not to do it too, because just think…in about 30 years her butterfly will look like a dead moth! LOL

Take a thumb tack or needle and scratch it over the top of your skin. Then think of that happening all the way down into your muscle. It’s kind of painful. I’ve got one on my foot, but it’s small so it didn’t take too long to do. I’ve heard the foot hurts a lot (close to the bone) but places that are fleshier don’t hurt as much.

I’ve got 2 tats, one on my arm which is rather large, and a small one on my chest. The one on my chest hurt a lot more, i think because it is so close to the bone and the skin is so tender there. I would recommend getting one in a more fleshy area, and steer clear of bony areas like ankles, wrist, chest, etc. (At least for your first tat!)
The pain felt kind of like scraping or scratching, and hurt a lot less than I expected. When its done, it may feel warm like a sunburn, but heals quickly and the art is yours to display with pride! Good luck and have fun!
