Im looking to have another tattoo done. Id like it on my right foot, along the side (not on the top). So if i had flips flops on it will be seen, but with shoes it wont.

Id like a smallish design with stars. Anyone think they can help?

a while back i was looking into geting another tattoo and came across a sight with drawings of traditional hand and face/neck tattoos. the drawings that caught my eye were of tattoos that went around the bottom of the ear, not on the ear itself but on the side of the face shaped likean ear ring, and then had another peice that went down the side of the neck not going straight down but following the hairline. i beleive they were marquesan or another sort of southern polynesian origin. has anybody seen this sight or know where I can find another?

deviantart.com is a great site – type ‘zombie’ into the search bar on it, then click on traditional art, then body art, then tattoos, and it brings up all the zombie tattoos there – there were loads more but could only fit ten links in an answer!

I love them, I have two old school pieces in my sleeve, it willl be all old school(ish).
To get a good example of Old School, look up a fine man named Sailor Jerry. One of my tats is based on one of his flash ideas.

Basically, I like all tattoos (well I have some problems with tribal). What I like best about traditional style tattoos is that almost all of the them have meaning. A person who was well versed in the traditional style could look at someones tattoos….their colors…..their locations and immediately tell alot about the person wearing them. Nowadays most people who wear traditional wear them because they like the way it looks and not for the hidden meanings. The reason I won’t ever get a traditional tattoo is the "flat" look that most of them have. I like a tattoo that tricks the eye ….that has a more 3 D look to it. But that’s my personal choice and thank goodness everyone doesn’t like the same style……Its the variety that makes tattoos interesting

I asked this question already but only got one answer… Kind of a dumb question but I’ve always loved tattoos but my mom absolutely hates them. I was living with her until I was 23 so out of respect, I never got one. I am now 26, living with my boyfriend who has many tats and I really want to get some. I’m not getting them for the sake of having one either. I’ve wanted them since before I was 18 so it’s not just a passing fancy. I love the ocean so all my tats would be ocean-inspired (sharks, mermaids, seahorses, starfishes…). I actually want half sleeves along with a few others in different places on my body. I’m studying to be a marine biologist so it won’t interfere with my job as I’ll either be in a lab or out on a boat. I’d cover them if needed. I also don’t know if they’d really go with how I look. Here are a couple links of pics of my bf and I. He’s got full sleeves and he’s learning to be a tattoo artist too so it only makes me want them more. What do you think?

Just so you know, my bf wouldn’t be the one giving me the tats. He’s too inexperienced and he doesn’t want to do them on me anyways because he’s worried he’d mess up.
I am also going to take the process slow, not just go out and get a huge tattoo or get a bunch all at once. I’m just thinking about getting to the point where I have sleeves.

Tatoos are forever, every 5 years (it’s a proven fact) your phsycological attitude changes, you may not be the same person in 5 years that you are right now. I think you are a gorgeous girl, don’t put ink on you. Just my opinion. I know people with tatoos that say corny stuff like: Duran Duran, Jake Isles Band etc…etc… Life is going to change, unless it’s of your children or a lost loved one it wont stay the same throughout your life. You asked…Like I said just being honest. You are a hottie though !!

Anyone know what the tribal tattoo on the wrestler Bill Goldberg’s left shoulder means? Does it have a meaning or is it just a design?

I’m playing on getting a tattoo in the next couple of months and I want it to symbolze that I am a strong person or internal strength. I was going to get the kanji symbol for strength but I want something a lil more creative…so can you all give me some ideas for symbols or links?

After giving it much thought I have decided that I want a very detailed tattoo on my arm. However I do not have any experience with tattoos and do not know if any able tattoo artist would be suitable for this or if I have to search for a specific artist.
If you put "quasi-crystal pattern" into google images you can get an idea of the sort of pattern I want.
Is this too unrealistic?
I would also appreciate if anyone could recommend a good tattoo artist in England.
I would be prepared to pay the money a good tattoo takes and also to travel over a distance to find a good artist.

I think that tattoo is a bit far fetched. it would have to be huge to capture the detail and it would take forever to get all those lines in. let alone your artist has to be really great to get the lines straight like that. it would cost a fortune. you could take it to a couple of shops and have them evaluate it for you,,, time/price/aggrivation… but to be honest, you’ll probably be disappointed if it isn’t perfect

Im thinking of getting either Magnum Marshall or just Marshall on my upper back for a tattoo what would be a good font/lettering

Well, when I think of a last name across your back, I think if a football jersey. So, if that’s what you’re going for, maybe block lettering.

Otherwise a nice script would probably be nice.

I personally don’t like the script that is so elaborate you can’t tell what the letters are, though.

nobody but a tattoo artist can give you an actual price, but because of the size and the fact that color is used, my best guess would be between 130-170 bucks.maybe a little more maybe a little less..thats just my guess.. i jsut got a skull and flames done on my leg, its about 4 inches by 4 inches all black and gray, and it cost me 60 but it was a friend of mine who did it so it was cheaper. in a shop it would have cost me about 125
